Emergency Assistance can provide homeless prevention, bridge housing resources prior to housing placement, rental deposits, utilities, or other needs that stabilize a veteran and their family.
Mission Stability – Liberty House MHMR of Tarrant County
Mission Stability (Formerly known as ‘Soldier Support’) provides assistance to veterans experiencing financial difficulty due to an unexpected crisis or loss of income. Services provided include: financial assistance with rent, electric, gas, water and phone (no prepaid phone service, Metro PCS or Boost mobile). Referrals for peer support and case management also provided. Additionally, for veterans going to school under the GI bill, may provide assistance to cover cost of textbooks if unable to afford them.
Call 817-569-4644 on Tuesdays or Wednesdays only for phone screening – office appointment scheduled if determined veteran meets pre-eligibility; must be able to come in to Fort Worth office for appointment.
Documents required: DD-214; for assistance with textbooks must provide certificate of eligibility from VA or school, letter certifying that student is not eligible for book stipend and class enrollment (not school enrollment) paperwork.

Supportive Services for Veterans Families SSVF – Catholic Charities
This joint project between the VA and CCFW is purposed to promote housing stability among low income veterans and their families who are at risk of or are currently homeless. SSVF promotes housing stability among low income veterans, linking veterans to needed benefits, both public and VA, and providing short-term assistance to set veteran households up for long-term stability. Presbyterian Night Shelter’s (PNS) Veteran’s Voice Program offers Case Management and Emergency Financial Assistance.
