The Annual Point in Time Count is a nationwide event held in January to provide a snapshot of what homelessness looks like in one night for every community in the country. This year’s count will take place on January 23rd, 2025.
Partnership Home needs around 500 volunteers to count and survey people living in unsheltered settings throughout Tarrant and Parker Counties. Your efforts will help us to understand what resources our community may need and identify community-wide strategies to end homelessness!
Volunteers must sign up individually at their designated location. If you do not have a team, you will be matched with other individual volunteers. Volunteers are assigned a route to canvass, identify, and interview people staying outside. Mandatory training will be provided to all volunteers via the web and on the night of the count.
Timeline of Point in Time Count:
5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Volunteer Check In & Route Assignment
6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. | Mandatory Volunteer Training
7:15 p.m. | Volunteers are deployed to their assigned route
IMPORTANT NOTICE: You must complete the registration process for each team member under their own account. You will not be able to register each team member under one account. This will allow our team to process their information while ensuring a smooth check in process prior to your arrival on the night of the count!
Team Registrations:
- Step One: Click the registration button below, and create an account.
- Step Two: Select the Team slot you and your group would like to reserve.
- Ensure you and your team members are selecting the same team slot!
- Step Three: Review and complete the online registration and waiver form to reserve your spot on your team selection.
- This process will include letting us know if you are willing to be a driver for your team throughout the evening.
Individual Registrations:
- Step One: Click the registration button below, and create an account.
- Step Two: Select any available “I Need a Team” slot to be matched with other individual registrants.
- Step Three: Review and complete the online registration and waiver form to reserve your spot. Our team will pair you with other individual registrants for the evening of the count.
- This process will include letting us know if you are willing to be a driver for your team throughout the evening.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old by the night of the count
- Teams must consist of 3-5 people
- Teams must have access to a smart phone
- Each team member must complete their own sign up form
- Teams are highly encouraged to ride in one vehicle
- Must be available on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 from 5:30pm to midnight
- Each volunteer must complete participant agreement & waiver form while submitting their registration.
