The US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) has released the FY2024 and FY2025 CoC Program Competition NOFO (Notice of Funding Opportunity). Tarrant County Homeless Coalition is responsible for conducting a local funding competition and submitting the CoC Consolidated Application. The CoC Program promotes a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness by providing funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, States, and local governments to quickly re-house homeless individuals, families, persons fleeing domestic violence, and youth while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness.
The FY2024 and FY2025 Local RFP will be released on August 16, 2024. Applicants will have the opportunity to apply for new or renewal projects as part as the CoC NOFO competition. Applicants applying for more than one new project will need to submit separate applications for each project.

Funding available through the Special NOFO will be awarded for new PSH projects and is a new funding opportunity for our community. TCHC strongly encourages agencies to submit applications in this funding cycle. This funding opportunity is the most significant funding available for new housing projects in the CoC in the recent past.
All TX601 CoC Local Competition application components for CoC Program funding for all projects are due on August 29, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Please note that this is a quicker than normal turnaround. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the FY2022 CoC Program NOFO on August 1, 2022, with an 8-week deadline. TCHC understands the administrative strain this may put on our community applicants.
Before submission of renewal or new projects for either the FY2022 CoC Competition or the Special NOFO Competition, TCHC recommends reviewing both NOFOs in their entirety and the competition timelines. Additionally, potential applicants for the Special NOFO should review TX-601’s Plan to Address Unsheltered Homelessness.

Tarrant County Homeless Coalition (TCHC) is accepting applications for the TX-601 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). Applications will be accepted for four different youth-dedicated project types: Rapid Rehousing (RRH), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Crisis Transitional Housing (Crisis TH), and Joint Transitional Housing- Rapid Rehousing (Joint TH-RRH). Please review the RFP and all instructions on ZoomGrants before submitting the application.
The competition opens April 14 and all applications are due in ZoomGrants by May 12, 2022 at 5:00 PM CST.

CoC-21-012 12/14/2021 CoC NOFA Debrief Session
Tarrant County Homeless Coalition is seeking a partner to provide two Mobile Housing Assessors to serve families experiencing homelessness in Tarrant County. Mobile Housing Assessors (housing navigators) are embedded with outreach teams and family and youth services specifically. This NOFA is for two assessors to work as a team to help families experiencing homelessness gain housing. Eligible entities include private nonprofit organizations and general-purpose local governments who are current recipients of HUD homeless funding. Available funding is $220,500 for 18 months.
Brief applications are due July 31 to Planning Department.
The Homeless Coalition, on behalf of the CoC, is hosting a local competition to determine funding recommendations. Applications will be accepted for the following activity types: emergency shelter (with a focus on housing assessment), street outreach (with a focus on housing assessment), and rapid rehousing. Eligible entities include private nonprofit organizations and general-purpose local governments. Please review the NOFA and all instructions on ZoomGrants before submitting the application.
The competition opens today, May 26, and all applications are due in ZoomGrants by June 8, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST.
