ARLINGTON
When weather conditions become hazardous for individuals to be outdoors overnight, the Cold Weather Overflow Emergency Shelter Response Plan will be initiated. The threshold for hazardous weather is met when the temperature in Arlington is expected to be below 39 degrees for more than 4 hours overnight.
When cold weather shelter is activated, report to Arlington Life Shelter at 325 West Division Street. Main number is 817-548-9885. Once at capacity, they will refer guests to Salvation Army at 712 W. Abram Street.

FORT WORTH
When weather triggers are met and it is either below 40 degrees in wet conditions; below 35 degrees in dry conditions; or a wind chill of below 32 degrees for three or more consecutive hours, Cold Weather Overflow beds are activated.
When cold weather shelter is activated, report to existing emergency shelters: Union Gospel Mission, Presbyterian Night Shelter or The Salvation Army Mabee Center. If those shelters are full, people seeking shelter will be directed to the Flag Building on East Lancaster to receive further information to utilize the overflow shelter available.
